TimeTickle (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by TimeTickle.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

  • Guest Users: If you use the app in “Guest Mode,” we do not collect any personal identity information. Your data is stored locally on your device and anonymously in our database for synchronization purposes, linked only to a random installation ID.
  • Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your email address and basic profile information provided by Google to authenticate you and sync your data across your devices.

B. User Content

We collect the data you voluntarily input into the app, including:

  • Reminder titles, descriptions, dates, and times.
  • Category names and tags.
  • This data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) to enable cloud synchronization and backup.

C. Device Permissions

To function correctly, the app requires access to:

  • Notifications: To send you alerts for your scheduled reminders.
  • Storage / File Access: To allow you to import tasks via CSV files and download sample templates.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
  • Send you push notifications for your scheduled reminders.
  • Synchronize your tasks across multiple devices (if you are signed in).

3. Third-Party Services

We utilize the following third-party services to operate the App:

  • Google Firebase: We use Firebase Authentication for user login and Cloud Firestore for database storage. Firebase’s use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Expo: We use the Expo framework for development and over-the-air updates.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Retention: We retain your reminders and categories as long as your account is active.
  • Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account via the in-app settings (if applicable). Uninstalling the app will remove local data, but cloud data may persist unless your account is deleted.

5. Children’s Privacy
